The abomination called Glitter Force aside, is The Seven Deadly Sins streaming anywhere legally, outside Japan?

I guess this can only be a localization of Smile, but I really wish it was an original series instead. Can we just get Lolirock going here sooner?

I think it doesn't. I've checked its ANN and MAL info page, but there aren't news about it being licensed or streamed by anyone (except for Animax Asia but that's only for Asia, I guess).
And when I wanted to watch it back in winter season, I had to look for fansubs

Netflix rumors about Seven Deadly Sins have been around for months. I'll believe it when I see a commercial in NYC next to one for Jessica Jones.

Can ANN please stop giving credit to Mendinso for news tips? He only gets them from WTK's Twitter and retweets them as his own. I do the exact same thing and you don't see my name credited in any articles, do you?

So it was true about Glitter Force. Also, I totally called it on it airing on Netflix.

Lay off, please. All I do is get the information, once it was via WTK (Netflix), the other was because I had discovered the information was listed by World Screen, and submit it to Anime News Network. I'm not doing anything wrong by submitting the said information and the way you respond to me is rather rude and somewhat hurtful. Heck, why are you following me on Twitter if this is the way you're talking about me? I really don't appreciate that, as I've done nothing wrong.

Actually, a LOT of anime series on the Japanese Netflix have an English synopsis. Including anime series that are exclusive to the Japanese Netflix. So I don't see how Nanatsu no Taizai's case is any different or special enough for it to be reported.

I'd rather watch it in its original Japanese dialogue.

Region locking can be gotten around but the lack of subs not so much

All, I can say to this...Well, that's a surprise, now to wait on release, whenever it comes by. (For the localization of Suite/Glitter, that is.)
7-D-S is also a nice bonus too.

Unfortunately, no. There was a rumor going around that Netflix had the license but wasn't announcing it for some reason. ALthough I doubt this would mean anything for the NA side I hope they do eventually bring it over here. I'm a huge fan of the manga and would really like to support a legal stream for this series.

Weird how Netflix Japan has it available with English subs but regular Netflix doesn't. Blasted rights issues.

That might keep the kids away from the supreme disasterpiece, but a casual dub only anime fan who's grown or teenage might watch it and be appalled at it.

It doesn't have English subs. Per the article
Quote: | The series is available streaming on Netflix Japan without English subtitles. |
Only the synopsis is in English.
Netflix isn't dumb. If they had english subs on Netflix Japan, english speakers would just go around region locks to the Japanese site. Netflix would effectively be giving english speakers access to the material, unintentionally though it may be, which the rights holders in Japan wouldn't like.
Still waiting to watch Seven Deadly Sins though. I waited to watch it after hearing Netflix got it and have still not watched it on fansubs, being busy working on catching up on One Piece and Detective Conan. Hopefully this means Netflix will get Seven Deadly Sins in the near future. Hurry up and bring it to the US, Netflix!
Speaking of bringing Seven Deadly Sins to the US, the anime isn't available in the US legitimately at all. Amazon and Right Stuf only have hug pillows, the manga, and a figure. I wonder what's up with the Japanese producers?
