Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions! Take On Me Film's Malaysian Opening Delayed to June

Southeast Asian film distributor Purple Plan announced last Friday that it has delayed the opening for its screening of Kyoto Animation's Eiga Chūnibyō demo Koi ga Shitai! Take On Me (Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions! the Movie: Take On Me) film in Malaysia to June 28.

The film was originally slated to open on Thursday, May 3.

Purple Plan also screened the film in Singapore. The screening began on April 5.

The film opened in Japan on January 6. The film opened at #6 at the Japanese box office, and earned 70,422,300 yen (about US$634,500) in its first weekend. The film had earned a cumulative total of 193,264,100 yen (about US$1.74 million) as of January 21.

Torako is credited with the film's original work. Tatsuya Ishihara returned to direct the film at Kyoto Animation. Jukki Hanada also returned to write the script, and Kazumi Ikeda returned to design the characters. Nijine also returned to compose the music. Shochiku distributed the film. ZAQ performed the film's theme song "Journey."
