Episode 7, 3:45, Subtitle for Laurier says #Forever 17." The character is voiced by Yukari Tamura, one of the members along with Kikuko Inoue as part of the forever 17 group.
After Cosmos and Himawari's confessions, every time Joro's bench appears in the anime, it is accompanied with music that sounds like Darth Vaders theme from Star Wars
In episode 2, Sun-chan talks about leaving the baseball stadium after losing via the southern (minami, in Japanese) entrance. A parody of Minami from the baseball manga and anime Touch is then shown, saying her famous line asking to be taken to Koshien.
In episode 3, when Pansy describes how she fell in love with Joro at the baseball game, there is a shot with a man pointing to a star in the sky next to a child and woman in the background. This is a reference to a famous scene in the baseball manga and anime Star of the Giants.
