Trivia:
There's a subtle self-referential pun in the name of the main character, Sakura Mikan (佐倉蜜柑). Literally read, her given name, Mikan, means "mandarin orange". The given name, Tachibana, of the mangaka who created the original manga, Higuchi Tachibana (樋口橘), also means "mandarin orange".
Mikan Sakura speaks with a Kansai accent like her seiyuu, Kana Ueda who is from Osaka, a major city in the Kansai region.
In episode 7 when the bear attacks Mikan they briefly play a short rendition of "Gonna Fly Now" (The Theme from Rocky).
