Analysis author, Meiji University Yoshihiro Yonezawa Memorial Library staff member, and NiconicoGakkai β executive committee member "myrmecoleon" predicted a major increase in Mr. Osomatsu circles after Comiket 89 based off the show's popularity on pixiv. Since the event, the Mr. Osomatsu was put on the cover of issues of PASH!, Otomedia, and Animage, causing the issues to sell out and to PASH!'s March issue printing an unprecedented 100,000 copies. The characters recently collaborated with Japan's national baseball team.
