Boxer Hiroki Inoue Knocks Out Competition in Pop Team Epic Cosplay

Japanese boxer Hiroki Inoue reportedly recently entered a competition arena while wearing a Pop Team Epic T-shirt and Popuko mask. He took of the otaku garb before facing his opponent, but it seems like the anime goods were his good luck charm. Inoue won his match with a knockout and is now on a streak of 11 wins, including 10 knockouts.
The mask Inoue wore appears to be the same one given out at the Animate shop in Akihabara, Tokyo on January 21. Inoue is the cousin of champion boxer Naoya Inoue.
University of Iowa wrestler Spencer Lee also recently prepared for the 2018 NCAA Wrestling Championships by making his entrance with the original English Pokémon theme song.
