Chairman Kosaku Shima Protagonist is Reborn as Medieval Knight in Manga Spinoff

The titular protagonist of Kenshi Hirokane's Chairman Kosaku Shima manga has come a long way ever since he began climbing the corporate ladder in 1983. With every change in job title the main character receives, the manga title also changes. The manga began under the name Kachō Shima Kōsaku (Section Chief Kōsaku Shima). Sequels include Division Chief Kosaku Shima, Managing Director Kosaku Shima, Executive Managing Director Kosaku Shima, Senmu Shima Kōsaku, President Kosaku Shima, and Chairman Kosaku Shima. In 2018, he became editor-in-chief of Kodansha's Morning magazine.
Now his career has taken a bizarre new turn. Comic Zero Sum announced in their latest issue, which shipped on Monday, that Shima will become the leader of a group of medieval knights in a new spinoff manga published by the magazine. The new serialization, which is titled Kishi Danchō Kōsaku Shima (Leader of Knights Kosaku Shima), is slated to begin on March 28.
Kenshi Hirokane commented on the spinoff, saying, "When I heard that Shima will be reborn, I thought that he would become a woman or something. I'm looking forward to seeing his reborn self as a medieval knight. Do your best, Leader of Knights Kosaku Shima!"
More details about the new manga will be released in the next Comic Zero Sum issue, which will ship on February 28.
