Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions Ren Lite Short's 3rd Episode Features Rikka in Middle School

Kyoto Animation began streaming the third episode of its Chūnibyō demo Koi ga Shitai! Ren Lite series of anime shorts on Wednesday. The video features the ending theme “Shin'en ni Mau Senritsu Shanikusai” (A Hair-Raising Carnival Dancing in the Abyss) by ZAQ, who also composed, arranged, and wrote the lyrics for the song.
The video begins with a middle school-aged Rikka (Maaya Uchida) greeting her friend Tomo (Ayumi Fujimura). Rikka tells Tomo that she is training her psychic powers by reading a guide book. Although she thinks it is fishy, Tomo helps Rikka train by testing her ESP with cards. However, the results are not as satisfactory as Rikka had expected. Next, Rikka guesses if the person entering the classroom is a boy or a girl, and only is correct a few times. Unfortunately, she finally ends up calling her female teacher a man. After Rikka screams in terror, Tomo tells the viewers that Rikka never tried to improve her psychic powers again.
Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions! REN, the second season of the Chūnibyō demo Koi ga Shitai! (Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions!), premiered in Japan on January 8. Crunchyroll is streaming the series as it airs.
The television anime's first season premiered in Japan last October. Sentai Filmworks acquired the series for digital and home video distribution in North America.
