May J. Sings Gundam Reconguista in G's New Opening Theme

The official website for the Gundam: Reconguista in G television anime announced on Thursday that singer May J. is contributing her new song "Futari no Mahō" (Couple's Magic) as the opening theme song for the second half of the series. The opening will begin running in the anime's 14th episode, "Uchū, Mobile Suit-Sen" (Space, Mobile Suit Battle), this week.
Yūgo Kanno, the composer of Gundam: Reconguista in G's soundtrack, scored and arranged "Futari no Mahō." Takahiro Maeda wrote the lyrics after working on songs for many artists such as Namie Amuro and Momoiro Clover Z. The CD single will go on sale on February 25.
May J. contributed the song "Kokoro no Kagi" (Heart's Key) as the Fairy Tail television anime's second ending theme song. She gained a higher national profile this past year after singing the version of "Let It Go" that runs in the Japanese ending credits of Disney's Frozen film. On New Year's Eve, she will sing "Let It Go" again to make her debut on Kōhaku Uta Gassen (Red and White Song Battle), the annual singing contest that is Japan's most viewed music television program.
