Takahiro and Studio Gokumi will supervise game's story

FuRyu began streaming a 30-second commercial on Friday for Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha de Aru: Jukai no Kioku (Yuki Yuna Is a Hero: Memory of the Woodland), its PlayStation Vita game based on the anime Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha de Aru (Yuki Yuna Is a Hero). The trailer features the anime's opening theme, "Hoshi to Hana" (Stars & Flowers) by the five main voice actresses, and briefly introduces Gin Minowa, Sumi Washio, and Sonoko Nogi, the three main characters of the prequel novel Washio Sumi wa Yūsha de Aru. [Highlight for Spoilers for the Anime] Sonoko Nogi and Sumi Washio appear in the anime. Sumi Washio is Mimori Tōgo.

The anime's creator Takahiro and Studio Gokumi are supervising all aspects of the game's story and events. The game will have both battle action sequences and over 70 events depicting the daily life of the Hero Club. The cast members of the anime will reprise their roles to voice all dialogue in the game.

The game will debut in a packaged retail edition for 6,480 yen (about US$61), in a limited edition for 9,480 yen (about US$89), and via download for 6,000 yen (about US$56) on February 26. Pre-ordered copies will come with an original mini clear file folder .

The story takes place in the era of the gods, year 300. Yūna Yūki lives an ordinary life as a second year middle school student, but she's also a member of the "Hero Club," where club activities involve dealing with a mysterious being called "Vertex."

The anime stars Haruka Terui as Yūki Yūna, Yumi Uchiyama as Fu Inubozaki, Tomoyo Kurosawa as Itsuki Inubozaki, Suzuko Mimori as Mimori Tōgo, and Juri Nagatsuma as Karin Miyoshi.

Seiji Kishi (Persona 4 The Animation, Danganronpa The Animation) directed the series based on an original plan by Takahiro (Akame ga KILL!) at Studio Gokumi. Makoto Uezu handled series composition and BUNBUN is designing the characters.

Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan. Pony Canyon's new international branch, PONYCAN USA, is distributing the series in North America.

The anime will also get a PC game bundled with the first Blu-ray and DVD volumes.

Update: Character names added, origin corrected. Thanks, Docoda.
