Shonen Magazine Edge Issue Featuring Hypnosis Mic Manga Debut Sells Out

The official website for Kodansha's Shonen Magazine Edge magazine revealed on Wednesday that the magazine's January 2019 issue (seen right), which contains the debut chapter of Yūichirō Momose and Rui Karasuzuki Hypnosis Mic: Before the Battle - The Dirty Dawg manga, has sold out in stores since it shipped on Monday. The announcement noted that the magazine's sales "exceeded predictions." Kodansha added that there are currently no plans for a reprint of the issue, but that the digital eBook version is available for purchase.
The magazine's February 2019 issue will also have the first chapter of the manga, and will be available on January 17.
Aside from Hypnosis Mic: Before the Battle - The Dirty Dawg, the franchise has two other planned manga. The next series Hypnosis Mic: Division Rap Battle -side B.B. & M.T.C will debut in Monthly Shōnen Sirius' February issue on December 26. The third series Hypnosis Mic: Division Rap Battle -side F.P. & M will debut in Monthly Comic Zero-Sum's February issue on December 28. Both The Dirty Dawg and side F.P. & M will also be available on the manga app Palcy.
The Dirty Dawg manga focuses on the Matenrō member Jakurai Jinguji/ill-DOC (singer: Shō Hayami), Fling Posse member Ramunda Amemura/easy R (singer: Yusuke Shirai), Mad Trigger Crew member Samatoki Aohitsugi/Mr. HC (singer: Shintarō Asanuma), and Buster Bros. member Ichiro Yamada/MC B.B. (singer: (Subaru Kimura).
