Anime Expo Hosts Shikizakura Staff for Audition

Director Shin'ya Sugai, director of audiography Takumi Saitō to judge auditions alongside vTuber Miya Kimino

The official website for the Anime Expo convention announced on Wednesday that Shin'ya Sugai, Takumi Saitō, and virtual YouTuber Miya Kimino will attend the convention to judge the audition for an English-speaking role in one episode of the upcoming Shikizakura television anime. Sugai is the show's director, and Saitou is the director of audiography.

In addition, Mother's Basement, Super Eyepatch Wolf, and Sachie will attend as "digital influencers."

Chukyo TV and CG animation studio Sublimation are producing the Shikizakura anime. The anime will have 12 30-minute episodes, and is planned to finish production by 2020.

This year's Anime Expo will take place from July 4 to July 7 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The event will also host actor Ryō Kitamura and manga creator Bisco Hatori.
