Former SIE Japan Producer Masaaki Yamagiwa Joins Team Ninja

Sony Interactive Entertainment's (SIE) PlayStation Indies head Shūhei Yoshida revealed on Twitter last Friday that former SIE Japan producer Masaaki Yamagiwa has joined developer Team Ninja. The official Twitter account of Team Ninja later confirmed the announcement.

Yamagiwa has produced titles such as Bloodborne, Tokyo Jungle, and Déraciné. He left SIE Japan in February.
Team Ninja is known for its Dead or Alive fighting game series and Ninja Gaiden character action game series. It is currently developing Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, which will ship for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in 2022.
