Sounds awful. Hopefully she'll have fully recovered by now. She's a great seiyuu. Smile

Thank goodness Aya-san is in one piece! Surprised I thought she was a goner upon reading the title.
I wish her more happy years of singing! Smile

Honestly female Anime VAs have it worse than video game VAs.

With a voice like hers it was strange she didn't have vocal cord problems for this long.
Don't get me wrong, she pulls it off very nicely, but I never stopped wondering: How is her work not damaging her throat?

She's been making appearances at events and in videos related to Yamato 2199 through December and January in the leadup to Yamato 2202's forthcoming release, and while not yet announced, she's almost certain to reprise the role of Yuria Misaki in 2202, so I'd say her recovery is on track.

If it calls for excess screaming or shouting or making low voices, both versions from either sex can have it hard.
