posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins

Bandai Namco Group revealed its financial report on Wednesday for the fiscal year ending on March 31. In the report, the company stated that the Tekken 7 game has sold 2.8 million copies, and Dragon Ball FighterZ has sold 2.5 million copies worldwide.

The company also stated that while it expected sales of its older Dark Souls 3 and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 games to reach 2.09 million copies by March 31, the two games actually had a combined sales of 5.08 million copies.

The financial results presentation also revealed that Bandai Namco Entertainment is developing several "Switch original" titles, which the company will start releasing this summer. Bandai Namco Entertainment president Satoshi Ōshita revealed in November that the company was developing three "big" games exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.

Bandai Namco Entertainment reported net sales of 678.312 billion yen (about US$6.2 billion), a 9.4% increase over last year. The company also reported an operating profit of 75.024 billion yen (about US$685.7 million), an 18.6% increase.
