Crunchyroll Adds Hindi Dub for Jujutsu Kaisen Anime, Announces Hindi Dub for Chainsaw Man Anime

IGN: Crunchyroll to produce Tamil, Telugu dubs for release in 2023

The Hindu reported on Wednesday that Crunchyroll will add a Hindi dub of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime on July 28. IGN additionally reported on Friday that Crunchyroll is producing a Hindi dub of the television anime of Tatsuki Fujimoto's Chainsaw Man manga.

IGN also added that the company will introduce Tamil and Telugu dubs to the streaming platform in 2023 “responding to the diverse linguistic preferences of Indian anime fans.”

According to The Hindu, Vidit Kumar will play Yuji Itadori in the Hindu dub. Sahil Kulkarni, Suvela Sharma, Lohit Sharma, and Archit Maurya are voicing other key characters.

Crunchyroll is streaming the second season of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime in India as it airs in Japan. Netflix is also streaming the anime season in India.

The second season of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime premiered on July 6. The season will air for two cours (quarters of a year) for a continuous half-year run. The anime will adapt both the "Hidden Inventory / Premature Death" ("Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu") arc and the "Shibuya Incident" arc of Gege Akutami's original manga.

Shōta Goshozono (Jujutsu Kaisen episode 8, 17 director) is replacing Sunghoo Park as the anime's director. The new cast members include Anna Nagase as Riko Amanai, and Takehito Koyasu as Toji Fushiguro. Tatsuya Kitani performs the opening theme song "Ao no Sumika" (Blue House), and Soushi Sakiyama performs the ending theme song "Akari" (Lantern).

The Jujutsu Kaisen television anime premiered in October 2020, and it had 24 episodes. Netflix is streaming the season in India. Ani-One began streaming all episodes of the season in India on June 29.

The Jujutsu Kaisen 0 anime film opened in Japan in December 2021 and opened in India in June 2022. It crossed ₹5.4 crore (approximately US$681,629) in earnings in its first weekend. Amazon Prime Video added the anime film in India in December and Crunchyroll added it in India in February.

Chainsaw Man premiered in India on Ani-One Asia's YouTube channel on October 18. Netflix began streaming the anime in India on February 1. Crunchyroll also began streaming anime in India with both Japanese audio and with an English dub in February.

The anime had a world premiere screening at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills on September 19, and then premiered on TV in Japan on October 11.

Ryū Nakayama (Black Clover, Jujutsu Kaisen episode director) directed the anime at MAPPA, and Hiroshi Seko (Ajin, Attack on Titan The Final Season) wrote the scripts. Kazutaka Sugiyama (Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation) designed the characters, and Tatsuya Yoshihara (Black Clover, Monster Musume: Everyday Life with Monster Girls) directed the action. Makoto Nakazono (DARLING in the FRANXX, Little Witch Academia) served as chief technical director. Kiyotaka Oshiyama (DEVILMAN crybaby, Space Dandy) designed the devils, and Yūsuke Takeda (Eden of the East, Vinland Saga) directed the art. Naomi Nakano was the color key artist, and Yohei Miyahara designed the screens. kensuke ushio (DEVILMAN crybaby, Liz and the Blue Bird, A Silent Voice) composed the music.
