B-Daman Crossfire Lands in Australia

15th October, 2013
d-rights Inc. (Tokyo, Japan) will begin airing the animated series B-DAMAN CROSSFIRE and launching the associated toy line in Australia.

The series first aired on Japan's TV Tokyo in April of 2011. Since then it has been steadily gaining worldwide popularity. In 2012, it moved overseas to Hong Kong's TVB, Taiwan's YOYO TV, and South Korea's Tooniverse. Then in June of 2013 it was launched throughout most of Southeast Asia via Disney XD. June also saw the show's first move into Europe on Spain's NeoxKidz. This was followed in August by broadcasts on France's Gulli and North America's Vortexx.

In Australia, B-DAMAN CROSSFIRE also began airing on the regular broadcast channel ELEVEN on September 29, 2013. It is NOW ON AIR every Sunday and Monday morning from 6:30 to 7:05. The Hasbro toy line launched in conjunction with the show on October 1 and is set to be a big seller this Christmas season.
d-rights has also signed licensing agreements with two Australian companies. Stella Projects, an entertainment property management agency, will handle merchandising in Australia and New Zealand. MADMAN, Australia's largest video company, will deal with DVD and VOD rights. Stella Projects is set to start merchandising efforts at the Brand Licensing Europe event in October. MADMAN plans to release DVDs in time for the Christmas shopping season. Through synergizing the five areas of TV broadcast, toy sales, videograms, VOD, and merchandising, the second half of 2013 will see even greater brand expansion.
